Common questions.

How do you price work?

Fixed price by default. After a discovery call I scope the work against your specific situation and come back with a fixed bill and a fixed timeline. It gives both of us certainty before any code gets written. If your finance team prefers an hourly rate or a monthly retainer, that's fine. Tell me how your books are set up and we'll work that way. The work itself doesn't change with the pricing model.

What if scope changes mid-build?

Small additions inside the original intent are absorbed. Genuine scope change (new feature, new integration, new platform) gets a written change order with its own fixed price before any work happens. You always see the bill before it lands.

Do you do retainers?

Yes, if you have a steady stream of small jobs and want predictable monthly cost. Most clients prefer to pay per scoped job because it's clearer where the money goes, but a monthly retainer is genuinely on the table. Same effective rate, just billed differently. If you need a true fractional CTO, I'll refer you to someone who does that well.

Do you take on ongoing maintenance after handover?

Two weeks of bug-fix support is included with every build. Beyond that, I quote per incident or per change. Nothing is locked behind a maintenance contract; if something I built breaks because of a Maropost-side change, I fix it at cost.
